Proper Mechanics when Lifting an Object

When lifting an object:

  • Your feet should be apart, with one foot slightly in foot of the other with your back straight this will balance your body and distribute the weight of the object
  • Bend from your hips and knees, hold the object close to your body and lift from your legs to prevent the strain on lower back and allows your legs to do the lifting
