After completing my first year as EHS Director, I took a look back at our department’s key accomplishments.

In 2015, over 5,000 students, faculty and staff completed trainings and courses offered by EHS. Our classes cover a wide range of safety and compliance issues, such as CPR/First Aid, Defensive Driving, Lab Safety 101, Asbestos Awareness, Shipping Hazardous Materials, Fire Safety, and X-ray Safety. Some are offered online, and some are in person trainings with hands on demonstrations.

In 2016, EHS will offer a new online Biosafety training, and a revamped online Laser Safety Training. We are also working on developing short safety videos that address current safety trends.
