Laboratory inspections are a vital part of the safety culture at Georgia Tech. Laboratory groups are required to perform weekly self-inspections using the Georgia Tech self-inspection checklist.  EH&S also performs pre-announced Comprehensive Laboratory inspections. These inspections are completed using a 70 point checklist, which is documented, reported, and sent to the PI using our database, Onsite. Comprehensive inspections are performed routinely, as a result of an accident or highly hazardous situation, or by the request of the department, PI, or facility manager. Please click through the following topics to find out more information about lab safety requirements and lab inspections.
