Maker spaces are communal public workshops in which users can work on small personal projects. Student machine shops are workshops in which students use industrial machines to create.
The Maker Space and Student Machine Shop safety program has been designed to comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standard 29 CFR 1910.211-.219, Machinery and Machine Guarding.
