Alicia Wood-Jones and Christine Bayatpoor have been hard at work trying to reinvent the respiratory protection program. They noticed pitfalls in the way the program was originally set up and developed a more succinct way of getting individuals enrolled into the program.

The new respiratory protection program features a questionnaire available as a web form on the EHS website. Students/researchers can take this in order to help EHS determine if they need respiratory protection or not. It also features a partnership with Concentra where the students/researchers can now electronically send their OSHA packets into Concentra without EHS having to physically drop off the packets. EHS reviews all the questionnaires and determines the next steps. If individuals need respiratory protection, EHS will get them trained and fit tested. This will be eventually tied into EHSA where EHS will get notified every year as the annual fit tests come around.
