Since Georgia Tech started collecting hazardous materials for proper disposal, collections have been made in open bed pickup trucks.  Hazmat recently acquired a new 14 foot box truck to do this.  As well as giving us something new and shiny, this addition to our fleet:

• Greatly increases efficiency by reducing the number of trips and increasing capacity.
• Protects our containers during inclement weather.
• Increases the amount of supplies we can readily bring to our customers and increase our available emergency response gear.
• Better secures the hazardous waste in an enclosed box truck, compared to an open bed truck.
