Larry Labbe, GT’s Deputized Fire Marshal, won the Fire Official of the Year Award at the 25th Annual Insurance Safety & Fire Commissioners annual awards lunch on October 26, 2017. He was nominated by the Georgia Fire Sprinkler Association.

So far this year, Larry has been very active with the Georgia Fire Academy, and is assisting in curriculum development for two different courses (Life Safety Code and Fire Plan Review).

Larry joined the Georgia Fire Sprinkler Association Board of Directors chairing the seat for the AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction). Due to this position he was also selected to serve on the Georgia's Insurance Safety Commissioner / State Fire Marshal's Office Board of Appeals for Fire Sprinkler appeals and complaints for the State.
