Working in a laboratory? If you are, then this message is for you! Georgia Tech EHS will be having a yearlong Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Incentive Campaign to increase the awareness of the importance of wearing PPE when handling hazardous materials and when working a laboratory. What to expect from this campaign?
- PPE Posters: EHS will be doing lab walkthroughs and handing out and/or placing "Best If Used - Come on. Put it on." posters in various locations in your facility. Feel free to ask them any questions you might have. If you are already wearing PPE at their time of visit, there might be a prize or two for you!
- Lunch and Learns: Lunch and Learns will be provided by various vendors. Come to learn more on the details of PPE use and how to develop a safety culture in your lab and you’ll also get a free lunch and be able to compete for gift cards to the Book Store! EHS has also partnered with the Center for Community Health and Wellbeing and the Campus Police Department to host PPE awareness tables at upcoming events where these posters will be featured. Look out for emails for the dates and location for these events.
- Designated PPE Website: The posters will also be available on the ‘Best If Used’ webpage on the EHS site. The site has PPE educational resources and information regarding upcoming programming.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact EHS. Stay safe and use PPE!
