Ed Pozniak was honored with the Community Partner of the Year Award from the Georgia Tech Police Department. He has responded to emergencies and incidents involving hazardous materials for over 20 years. His expertise has helped keep the Georgia Tech community safe as he provides technical expertise to the Georgia Tech Police and to Atlanta Fire Rescue.

Ed has long been indispensable support to the police department as well as the greater campus. Although as police we do a lot of training in order to deal with all manner of incidents that come up, it has always been a comfort to know this person is just a phone call away. When the campus needs help they call us, and when we need help, we call Ed. He is always accessible, and always the most knowledgeable person at the scene of every hazardous material incident. We always relax a little when we see him approaching, knowing we are indeed, in good hands.
