Event Details

This course provides the latest CPR guidelines from the American Heart Association. Participants will learn to recognize breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children, and infants and perform rescue breathing and cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Participants will learn first aid skills to identify and care for life-threatening bleeding, sudden illness, and injuries. Upon completion of the course participants will receive a Georgia Tech certificate and a certification card from the American Heart Association.

NOTE: This class involves performing CPR on mannequins in a class room setting. It requires participants to kneel on the floor over the mannequin while performing chest compressions and giving breaths. Please wear clothing appropriate for this kind of physical activity.

No food or drinks are permitted in the classroom.
