A methane odor may be the result of the sink and floor drain traps drying out, which allows sewer gases—including methane—to escape into the room.
Remedy: please flush the drains WEEKLY by pouring 1-Liter of water down all sinks and floor drains (especially rarely used ones) to keep drain traps filled.
Call your Building Manager or GT Facilities if odors persist despite regular maintenance.

This class will provide attendees with a general understanding of the NIH Guidelines for Research Involving Recombinant and Synthetic Nucleic Acid Molecules and how the Guidelines apply at Georgia Tech.
Who Should Attend? All current Georgia Tech employees and students that conduct research involving recombinant and/or synthetic nucleic acid molecules. This training should be renewed every 3 years.
