The 5th annual Building Manager Symposium was held on March 22, with over 85 attendants. The symposium is held annually to present topics of interest to building managers from across campus. Building managers play a crucial role in the secure, safe operation of buildings and are the occupant’s point of contact for facility issues, package receipt, and notices such as fume hood or steam shutdowns. The day consisted of GTPD discussing physical security as well as reviewing changes in police department operations, EHS providing a brief overview of each EHS office, a presentation on contractor safety, and updates to the fire prevention program. After a delicious lunch, Jerry Nunn was recognized as the Building Manager of the Year for his excellent work serving the occupants of the Paper Tricentennial Building for RBI.
